Typically Community Power proponents include local residents, individuals, farm collaborative, co-ops, First Nations, Municipalities and other organizations working to develop local sustainable energy projects. Anyone can become a member of a co-op and later invest keeping ownership and profits local.

With your co-op membership, you gain the ability to purchase shares once the co-op’s offering statement is approved by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO). This opportunity presents many potential benefits including the security of a 20 year FIT contract backed by the Ontario Government.
